Note the type font seen in this scan of an original document - this font, designed for OCR (Optical Character Recognition) was the semi-official Corporate font used on internal typewritten documents.
Secretaries were equipped with a Remington Electric typewriter (NOT an IBM Selectric - shudder...) with this font installed.
